Birdsong (I will sing my stupid song anyway)

Museum-quality giclée print on 100% cotton, semi-smooth matte paper using archival pigment inks. Created from highly detailed scans to faithfully capture the texture and colors of the original oil painting.

INSPIRATION
A defiant stand for creativity in the face of adversity. Created as a personal talisman during a moment of frustration in my studio, this piece emerged from feelings of overwhelming inadequacy in the face of the world’s pain and problems. I believe that art matters — it makes life more liberating and more beautiful — yet there have been months when discouragement and futility crept in. In the end, I decided that all things being equal, I would rather make art than not make art — so that’s what I’ll do.
