Three Seashells

Museum-quality giclée print on 100% cotton, semi-smooth matte paper using archival pigment inks. Created from highly detailed scans to faithfully capture the nuance and colors of the original watercolor painting.

INSPIRATION
These seashells are from a series of coastal still lifes that emerged during a recent retreat to Maui where I stayed with friends in their fruit orchard overlooking a wide blue horizon. I gathered fruit, seashells, and found objects and arranged them on the table of their covered porch. As the rain fell for hours, I painted. There's a casual elegance to these compositions that holds the feeling of that time — unhurried, intimate, quietly joyful.
