INSPIRATION
This work is from the series of paintings I created to accompany the soon-to-be-released album Novella by Tyler Sabbag, my creative collaborator and husband. The album "plays like a half-remembered summer set against the Mediterranean coast, an enchanting dreamscape shaped more by longing than historical fact." In the painting studio, the music translated to a sense of romance and nostalgia, a Mediterranean sensibility—old world, sun-warmed, with traces of citrus and the atmosphere of Italian cinema.
