INSPIRATION
This is part of a series of paintings that I call "Propaganda for Nice Things." When I was a child, my father transplanted quite a few large full grown trees into some of the animal habitats of the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, and I got to go with him behind the scenes. Naturally I feel incredibly nostalgic contemplating a trip to the zoo.
